ECE 3 & 4 Make-Up Work Policy
Attendance Policy
Due to the nature of this course (ECE 3 and 4), attendance is mandatory and extremely important. A great portion of your grade is based on your attendance in the lab and working/ interacting with the infants and toddlers.
Students will get sick from time to time and have unexpected events come up. This is understandable as life happens. However, please remember that when one person is out it effects the whole team.
MAKE-UP WORK POLICY
If you miss lab for the following reasons YOU MUST TURN IN MAKE UP WORK for everyday you miss because you...
1. Were absent from school whether it is excused or not.
2. Are sick but at school and have to stay in my classroom.
3. Miss class for any other School Business. EX. helping with a Pep Rally
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO MAKE UP WORK if you missed lab for testing. You must have a pass and/ or note saying you missed because of testing.
Directions: Read an article related to childcare and/ or parenting and write a 500 word summary. The article must be at least, but no more than 2 pages long and must be submitted with the summary. You are responsible for finding the article and printing it on your own time. You may email the article and summary using the email linked to the Early Childhood Education website or print out the article and staple it to your summary.
Please note: students have TWO CLASS DAYS FOLLOWING AN ABSENCE TO TURN IN THEIR WORK.
